The Quickest Way For People to Know, Like and Trust You Online
We’ve all heard of the phrase “People Do Business with People Who Know, Like and Trust You” right? Well, in the space of Online Marketing and all of the technology that comes along with it, how can we really build this relationship and establish trust to ensure people that YOU are the person they should work with?
Before I get into that, lets talk about how we make the decision to trust someone in “Real Life”…

Face to face, you would most likely spend some TIME getting to know a person on a REAL level. You may have been “referred” by another trusted person that they are “ligit”. This is called 3rd party credibility, and is a very powerful relationship foundation (and I encourage you to integrate it into your marketing if you haven’t done so already). You would find out what their passions are, discover their gifts and talents, learn about their family life…etc.
Really getting to know someone enough to trust them is not a process that happens overnight, nor will it typically be online.
So calling each individual in your current network is a great way to start establishing this relationship, but if you don’t have the time and you would like to leverage the platforms online, the next best thing is to use Video.
Every person I have worked with says they decided to work with me because I seemed like a “real” person. Genuine, down to earth, honest and 100% authentic. They would never know that about me if I hid behind my computer and never got up the guts to create my first video.
But it’s not about creating one video…
It’s about creating consistant content that will keep allowing the doors of trust and communication to be opened a little at a time.
You wouldn’t marry someone after the first date right? It’s important that you provide many “dates” or “episodes” to enable others to put their trust in you as a person, as a leader, as a person of action and integrity and so many more important facets of you as an individual.
